All wedding cakes are priced individually according to their size, filling, coating and decoration. Rich fruit cakes are slightly more expensive than sponge cakes, although their richness means that they are generally served in smaller portions so will actually go further.

The guide below gives an example of basic starting prices for round, all-sponge wedding cakes. Whether stacked, separated by pillars or made to be displayed as separate tiers on a stand, these prices include cakes filled and covered to the highest standard on a fully iced cake drum(s) with finishing ribbon.*

The price excludes specific decorative costs, which will vary considerably depending on materials/ingredients and work-time. Fresh or sugar flower sprays, piping detail, wire-work, cake jewellery or modelled figures will add anything from £50 up to several hundred pounds for elaborate or detailed work. Bespoke jewellery items made in hallmarked gold or silver may even cost in the region of thousands. All decoration is therefore quoted for separately.
